Description: Expansion bolt is a special threaded connector used to fix pipe support/hanger/bracket or equipment on walls, floors and columns. The grade of carbon steel bolts is divided into more than 10 grades such as 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9 and 12.9.
Numbers before and after decimal point indicate nominal tensile strength and yield-strength ratio of bolt material respectively. For example, labeled 8.8 grade bolt indicates that the tensile strength of material reaches 800MPa, and yield-strength ratio is 0.8, that is, its yield strength reaches 800×0.8=640MPa.
Stainless steel bolts can be classified into 45, 50, 60, 70 and 80 grades. The materials mainly include austenite A1, A2, A4, martensite and ferrite C1, C2 and C4. Their expressions, such as A2-70, and “before” and “after” respectively, indicate the bolt materials and strength grades.
